We recognize that many people are uncomfortable with high hourly wages with
no guarantee of the ultimate costs of legal services. Accordingly, we
prefer to give clients a set fee depending on the amount and complexity of the
work involved.
In my
experience, clients prefer flat fees because:

We offer this fee structure to better assist our clients in
planning for the cost of professional services. Obviously, we cannot
provide a one-size-fits-all fee structure that would reward clients with more
complicated circumstances and penalize those with relatively simple
circumstances. However, after an initial meeting we find we usually have
enough information to be able to give a set fee for our client's legal
